Another show is coming to you from Black River Productions!  “Land of the Giants TV”  The host of Southern Outdoor Experience have teamed with the guys at CIO Outdoors in a joint venture to bring you some of the biggest whitetail bucks in the country.  Starting January 1 Land of the Giants TV will start airing and their will be thirteen new shows straight from the land of the giants with CIO Outdoors.  CIO Outdoors has a reputation of producing some of the largest whitetails in the country and SOE has teamed up with them to show off some of these great bucks that are taken by their clients year after year. I was fortunate enough to be able to get into the woods with CIO outdoors the last week of October.  The weather in Illinois had not yet turned cold and the deer were on the brink of busting loose with the start of the rut.  We finally got some cool weather and the deer were on the move.  On the way to the stand for my evening hunt I layed down a VS1 scent trail as we approached our stand in hopes that a giant would follow us in after cutting our track.  We saw 15 plus deer on our food plot that evening and even passed on a buck in the upper 130’s at 20 yards.  We knew we were close to something good happening.  In the last minutes of daylight I spotted the largest buck of my life trailing our VS1 scent trail.  He was coming right to us.  He stopped at 8 yards to make a scrape and I was able to draw my Pearson Z34 back and place my arrow right behind his shoulder.  The buck on ran 50 yards and was down!  You never know when it is going to happen, and it only takes a second for a hunt to come together.  With CIO Outdoors you are always in the woods with some of the biggest deer in the country and the buck I was able to take proves that!  He scores 182, weighed over 300 pounds and had a 35.5 inch neck.  He was truly a giant!  Please tune into Land of the Giants TV starting the first week of January 2008.
